Please note: I am yet to commence compiling the Clark and Brady sections of the site and hope to do so in the near future.

I cannot express adequately the importance and influence my paternal grandmother, Catherine Ruth Clarke, (also known as Kathleen), had on my life. Having been raised by her and my father from the tender age of 8, she was, in every sense of the word, my mother. Of course my mother still played an important and active part in my life, but it was Nana who I lived with, who cared for me and who provided the day-to-day love and support a growing young girl needed.
The Clarke and Brady genealogy is different to all my other families on this site in that they are the only lines to come from an Irish Catholic background. My information has not only been obtained through a number of different and helpful resources, but also from the wonderful stories and memories she would tell me of her childhood days, growing up in the mining town of Silverton, just out of Broken Hill in New South Wales.
The Adoption Story, the moving story of her meeting my grandfather, George Henry Erwood, and the birth of my father can be read by clicking here.

These pages are dedicated to my adored Nana
Catherine (Kathleen) Ruth Clarke
20th February 1895 - 24th August 1982
At at time in your life when you should have been enjoying your senior years, you took on a confused and shy young girl and enveloped her in a world of love and support.
Thank you just does not cover it. The best tribute I could give you was naming my second child,
Kathleen Ruth Chambers (born ten months after I lost you), in your honour.
Love you Nana, always.
